Tips for Adding Wheat Germ on Your Baby Food

One of the great things about wheat germ is that the taste is so subtle; it combines nicely with both savory and sweet dishes. In fact, wheat germ hardly noticeable with other foods, making it ideal for ‘picky’ babies. Adding wheat germ is a wonderful way for important nutrients in your baby if he eats little, or only eat a limited variety of foods.

- Wheat germ is an ideal binder for too runny puree.
- If you bake for your baby, try using a small amount of wheat germ as a substitute for an equivalent amount of flour (eg – if your recipe for 6oz flour, wheat germ and use 1oz flour 5oz).
- Stir in wheat germ yogurt to your baby.

Do not over do it!
Wheat germ can be useful for mobilizing relief of your baby when he is hidden. Similarly, making it too much can cause diarrhea. You should just sprinkle wheat germ on feeding your baby – and do it as your baby has diarrhea.
