Sweet snacks, salty snacks, meals unstructured, soft drinks and you have the perfect cocktail for an explosion of obesity. But it is not easy for children to resist temptation. And for good reason, according to representatives of the French Society of Cardiology on Wednesday on a children’s channel, 62% of commercials are for products or sweet chocolate, candy, soft drinks.
Results: habits of children and teens are sometimes frightening. 40% of them drink sodas at lunch and dinner. In 5 years, consumption of pastries rose 84%, sweet biscuits that 24% of soft drinks and fruit juices 17%.
To avoid falling without even without accountability in such excess consumption, it is important to give children from an early age eating habits. Also we must remember that:
* Water is the ideal drink. An infant or child who refuses to water “kind” simply means he did not thirst useless to disguise the taste of water with sugar or various flavors that may be accustomed to drinking sweetened ;
* Serve fresh vegetables, frozen or canned food at all;
* Choose fruit for dessert creams and cakes;
* Beware of seasonings such as ketchup or mayonnaise, which need not accompany every meal;
* Prefer the bread to pastries and cakes for breakfast;
* Finally, avoid the temptation to empty your cupboards reserves cakes and other sweets aperitifs.
