One study of homosexuality in men may increase older brothers
Some studies try to give a new explanation of why men and women are attracted to persons of the same sex.

We have performed a new study about how the family can influence children to have certain sexual orientation. This study showed that family members may have to do with the moments of instability and confusion of adolescence regarding same-sex attraction.

Biological or psychosocial
The study, published in the U.S. journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, said that “the number of older siblings influences the likelihood that a man has homosexual tendencies.”

The research, by scientists, says that homosexuality is increased in men with older brothers. The funny thing is that this only happens when they are children of the same mother, and not when they have siblings or foster siblings.

This research, conducted with 905 men in Canada, looked at whether sex trends in biological mechanisms exist or psychosocial reasons such as living with older brothers.

The Child is a Sexual being in Relation to Himself and Others

width="356"The presence of symptoms and sexual desires for children, from early childhood, was one of the most important controversies raised by Sigmund Freud, the Father of Psychoanalysis, almost a century. Imagine the scandal of such an approach to society of the time! Since then studies on the subject did not stop and now occupies space sex education in many schools and many families.

The child’s sexual identity
The development of human sexuality begins with physical contact, when babies are subjects and cherished. That is natural and necessary occurrence. You should not deprive the baby of body contact. We must recognize the child as a sexual being, in relation to himself and others, in order to build their own sexual identity. Infantile sexuality is one of the doors through which children can develop their personality and their relationships with affectivity.
Sexuality is a natural thing in humans, a function like many others, like eating, walking, reading, studying, etc. And as such, should be a subject matter with ease, honesty, love, and having its own space within the child’s educational process. (more…)
